Privacy policy

This policy explains what data ergatologos.ai processes when you use the answering service, why, and for how long. The service is public and requires no account.
What data we process
- IP address
- Your IP address is used to rate-limit requests and prevent abuse. It is currently processed transiently in memory and not stored durably. Once durable logging is enabled, it will be kept for at most 30 days.
- Questions and answers
- Your question text is sent to AI model providers to generate the answer. Questions and answers are not currently stored by the service. Once interaction logging is enabled, the question text, the answer, and the retrieved source snippets will be kept for up to 90 days for quality review. Do not include personal identifiers in your questions.
- Feedback (coming soon)
- Feedback (a thumbs up/down with an optional comment) is not yet available. When it ships, the optional comment will be linked to the corresponding interaction and a warning against entering personal data will apply.
Third-party providers
To generate answers, your question text is transmitted to AI model providers (a language model and an embedding model) that process it on our behalf. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Legal basis
Processing relies on our legitimate interest (abuse prevention, security, and improving service quality) under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Where data is stored
The legislation database is hosted within the European Union. Transient processing by the model providers may take place outside the EU, under appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, and erase your data, and to object to processing. As the service uses no accounts, additional information may be needed to identify a request.
